DAB U13s travelled to Mick Neville Park yesterday morning to contest the shield county final.
After going 5 points up with some lovely scores from Conor Hayes and Dylan Kiely we got hit with two sucker punches when we conceded two goals in a minute. We recovered to go in to half time ahead by one point on a scoreline of 7 points to 2 goals.
The third quarter was a nervy affair bit we maintained our one point advantage with good work from George Fox O Connor and James McCarthy.
The lads powered into the final quarter with Ben Gubbins and Shane O Donoghue to the fore and scored two unanswered goals to eventually win by 7 points.
This was a clean but tough game and credit goes to Crecora Manister who really extended us to the pin of our collar.
Dylan Kiely was presented with the county shield to great excitement.
